The NIC is the leading science and technology organisation of the Government of India in information and services. It provides nationalwide ICT infrastructure to support e-Governance services and various initiatives of Digital India. The district unit, Balasore, has been playing a major role in promoting value-based IT culture in the district since the establishment in 1988.
