Not maintained properly. Most of the Swings, slides and chairs are damaged. But view from the top is amazing. Kids will enjoy a lot. If the park is maintained properly then it is very good for a day outing.
The overall experience was good. But the kid's train and several other equipments were not working. It could have been a better experience if all the facilities were working. Kindly make a point to visit before darkness as some places are not properly lit. It can be great experience if you can reach by 4.30 or 5 and spend time there till 6 or 6.15 pm.
Beautiful Dam. Been there when it was open. Amazing view of water flowing out. Dam also have a decent children's park aside. But, none of the visitors follow any COVID protocol at all 🤦🏻
Once a heart filling place in my teens, the vaigai dam now has become a dark park now a days. Even after opening the dam for visiting public after covid pandemic, the lighting which used to be a refreshing scene in the dam on Sunday evenings have become a thing of the past now. The gentleman on the ticket counter openly tells to the visitors to take care of their children since the lighting is not everywhere. A fabulous full view of the well lit park on week end evenings that used to be a feast for the exhausted eyelids that are much tired after the continued gluing to the digital screen during the working weekdays. Humble request to concerned authorities to do the needful and restore the glory of this great and affordable tourist place of the Madurai people by cleaning and maintenance of the park in the dam and more specifically rectify the lighting system in the dam
A nice place to chill around. Families can obviously have a nice time in the weekends. There are play areas for kids as well.
