I have completed my Master's in English from this college. I feel proud that I have been taught by some of the finest and experienced professors in this college. Never felt like I am studying in a college, it was always like I am with my family members I mean the professors and my fellow classmates. I'll always feel glad that I chose this college which may not have big campus, but definitely promises to provide promising education.
It is self financed college,good for ug and pg art's students. Faculties are helpful and proper administration.
Sanskrit College is one among the pioneering institutions of Calcutta or Kolkata. This glorious college was established in 1824. The institution rose to prominence under the principalship of famous Bengali reformer and educationist Pandit Iswarchandra Vidyasagar. Notable alumni of the college are Bijoy Krishna Goswami, Abanindranath Tagore, Iswarchandra Vidyasagar, Mahanambrata Brahmachari, Saradaranjan Roy, etc. Lately the college transformed into an University.
Can I get hostel facility for post graduation?
This is a heritage College and recently it has become a university. The environment is too good and the special thing of this university is the "boipara". The building is situated at exact college street. Students can get the a huge amount of book stock so it'll help them in their study. And the other educational institutions like Presidency University, Calcutta University, Hindu school and in Sanskrit Collegiate School in the same campus of the university but the entrance are separate. Indian coffee house is also a land mark of this university. The famous Dey's publication is situated just in the opposite direction of this university.
