Have to say food is good, authentic and has good quality. I have been here a couple of times before. The difference is this time we pitched in a bit late. But that's exactly when you know how customer service oriented they are. Service guys appeared to be in a hurry to wrap it up. Hence they moved out even before we are done. When we asked for a couple of items they just said it's done.
Food was good. Idli was a tad spicy surprisingly fr a small kid. A tea for 39 bucks in a small cup which immediately becomes cold when u add sugar n stir was a bit of a letdown. courteous staff n nice ambience. Service was about OK.
The quality and taste are impeccable as always and one should visit for the sheer joy of indulging in authentic South Indian dishes which the people at MTR have religiously maintained over past so many years... The only concern being that there is always paucity of tables to sit and one ends up waiting for a chance to eat in peace. Then when you are eating, the feeling of other people staying at you whilst you eat with relish, is pretty disconcerting.
This branch of the iconic MTR chain serves great delicious South Indian vegetarian food, sweets & bakery items too, in HSR Layout. Offers dine-in, takeaways & through food delivery apps also. Slightly heavier on the pocket but definitely worth it.
Same old authentic MTR dishes right next door to HSR residents! Same taste that we enjoyed 30/40 years ago! Can never forget it! It's a must go.... The legacy continues!
