I am an alumnus of HAPS Vikasnagar. One of the best school in Hamirpur. With beautiful infrastructure and well trained teachers it was my first choice when i took addmission here in 11th standard back in 2018. The school provided me the most memorable 2 years of my life. The school's holistic approach really helped me in everything. I was given the platform to showcase my talent and also develop my academic skills. School does have very strict rules which you have to follow. Teachers are always ready to help you and guide you. They are excellent in their fields. Though apart from this the school also helps you in learning many life problems, as hostel facilities are available for you. the student also develop understanding and learns his responsibilities & how to face challenges. It's a really great school with many platforms from which you can discover your talents and interests from an early age. You can participate in Model United Nations, Round Square, IAYP, National Service schemes, NCC, American Field Services, international Olympiads...and many more, all at National & International level. In my personal experience as i have participated in many events like Round Square, Model United Nation, Video Conferences, International Award for Young People and I can strongly say that I've got plenty of exposure & experience which I could not have recieved anywhere else. + Participating in adventure activities and camping is the ultimate fun. Nice school and its infrastructure.. School is situated in vikas nagar hamirpur.. About 4 to 5 k. M. Far from hamirpur bus stand. It is on the dharamshala road. About 1 k. m. Far From national highway. I dont know about their eduaction. Because i did'nt studied there.. I was went there for my CTET exam.
Hello all! Actually I wanted to give a really honest review about this school so that you can get an idea about how's it and it will surely help you to form an opinion. This school is good in some aspects but has some snags as well. I will tell you about this school from both aspects. Let us discuss the advantages first. Advantages : 1. Most of the teachers are friendly. You have the freedom to ask them doubts whenever you feel to. It's one of the best features. 2. Teachers are polite. 3. We get a feedback call every month from the assigned mentor. 4. The teachers are cooperative. 5. Students get an opportunity to participate in several extracurricular activities. Snags: 1. The duration of online classes is short The online classes have a duration of less than 3 hours i.e. 2 hours 40 minutes to be exact. For class 6 to 8 it is 2 hours. 2. The language periods are held after 3 days i.e. 3 days English and 3 days Hindi. I feel that they should be regular i.e. 6 days a week. 3. Teachers often use Hindi for interaction in class. 4. Power point presentation is used to teach the concepts. It sounds good but actually a lot of time gets wasted in class as due to internet issues the presentation doesn't open or the laptops develop a fault. 5. The system of assessing is not organised. We only have a few tests. Tests are conducted only on Mondays. For science, I feel that the tests of Physics, Chemistry and Biology should be conducted separately. As in a test of 15 marks, each section is of 5 marks. I really hope that the school will make an effort to rectify the snags. I really want the school to emphasize on the system of assessments as they help to develop a base about the pattern of exam and provide a mode of practicing. I don't have any personal enmity with school but it's that that I want to see this school as the best.... I hope you will consider my opinion. I strongly believe that you should join this school and become a part of HAPS family!
