Maa Sharvari Temple, which is dedicated to Maa Sharvari is another important temple of Manali and a famous religious site in Himachal Pradesh. She is often recognized as the incarnation of Goddess Durga. This temple is only 5 kilometers away from Manali and lies on the banks of river Beas. You can easily visit Maa Sharvari Temple by hiring a private cab. She is the deity who was worshipped by the Kullu Kings. The best time to visit Maa Sharvari Temple is during the festival of Dussehra. This is the time when the idol of Maa Sharvari is taken out to Kullu to meet God Raghunath Ji in an auspicious and grand procession.
The temple is about 10 minutes walk up from the main Village road. It has a surprisingly large verandah with a pretty and clear view of the valley. I didn't go inside the temple itself but it's beautiful, made in all wood and kept very cleanly. Through The temple, is a route to Arjun gufa - something that's a must go !
Its a Quiet place in Manali. Mata Sharvari is considered to be the Guru of Mata Hadimba and is said to have reached here on 2.5 🦶. Its a saying we used to hear from our ancestors. The temple is beautifully carved with pinewood and Scriptures are made. The place has mesmerising views and ambience. The Caretaker here also provides you langar on request and are very humble. There is Arjun Kund just beside the temple where you can drink and splash fresh water to clean yourself and enter the temple. We Also have our Cottage just below the Temple by the Name of Mount Serene. Do Pay us a Visit
