A yeoman service at Village level, Govt. Higher Secondary School, Bager (pronounced Baa-gay-r) is running since 16 June, 2011. The brand new building has 5 rooms, a proposed Tinkering Laboratory, and few more rooms in its 11 acre campus. The co-educational institution runs grades 9-12 has a total student strength of 281 in year 2017-18. The staff is highly motivated and dedicated and travels from nearby Block Ashta everyday, six days a week to serve to national cause of RMSA (Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan - National Higher Education Mission), a Govt. of India project. A five star can be earned by maintaining better cleanliness in lavatories.
