This is a very beautiful place and is the ancestral home of one of the most famous man worldwide. Rabindranath Tagore was such a talented individual who has always been fundamental in making his work renowned throughout the world. In this place, you will find all the life history of this great being. The kitchen where his wife cooked, the bed on which he slept, everything has been kept and preserved beautifully. Photography is not allowed inside.
I seriously wonder , why I haven't been here before!?. Very well managed, due to the pandemic visitors have only one hour to view the innumerable poetry and art displayed . There are 3 galleries , and each gallery gets progressively better. Had a wonderful time. Added bonus, it does have a lane where you can park your four wheeler in peace. Now make sure, that you have at least one vaccine doze certificate ready, as you are required to do so to enter the premise .
If you have love for literature then you'd have to visit this place at least once! This place will surely blown away every literature lover. Even I'd prefer every Bengali's should have visit this place! They can find an unbound connection with the ancestral house of Tagore.
You will just love it. You need to have your vaccination certificate with you while entering. Entry fees is Rs.20 and for students it is Rs.10 . Photography is allowed only in the ground floor and you need to pay extra 50rs for that.
Tagore was a brilliant poet and national symbol till this day. His house was amazing. Quite big. I suggest people to go to jarasanko by 3:30 . After 2hrs of touring the house one can pay 50rs for the light and sound show which is totally worth it.
