The story is that Rama left Sita in The ashram of sage Valmiki. This ashram is located in Bithoor some 20 km from Kanpur. Lava and Kusha heirs of Rama were born in this ashram. Probably this is the place where Ramayana was written. It is said that Sita went to heaven from here.
