The Maqbara proper in itself is quite an old structure and is a Waqf property. It has an Imambada, which is venue of various majalis and jashns all round the year but specially in Muharram. The building is in very dire situation and ceilings of all except one of the five halls have collapsed, the building is in urgent need of repairs, restoration and construction and even requires lot of clearance from various encroachments. The environs of Maqbara which are part of the awqaf are 90% encroached consisting of unplanned illegal structures, which give whole area quite a shabby look.
