The school really does not prioritize, or even give much thought to, the physical and mental well being of its staff, particularly staff in the sports department. Sports teachers are routinely called to work on national holidays, weekends and barely given any time off. The school must treat its sports staff with dignity and respect.
I am a family member of one of sports staff and very unhappy with the culture here. There's no work-life balance. There are no leaves, they are called on festivals whereas other teachers enjoy a proper time off. This is the reason sports doesn't grow in India, they don't treat sporta teachers well.
Work culture of the sports department is not nice. If family time is something you value, this is not the place to work.
There's no work life balance for sports teachers in this school. They are called to school almost all 365 days. No leaves for festival. 😡 absolutely unprofessional !!
