This is traditionally managed cremetery for performing funerals of Hindu dead bodies. The place is as old as the Kanpur city and is ideally located on the bank of holy river Ganges. Although the place is moderately managed but still has all basic amenities by courtesy of various social services organizations who have improved it a lot. Although there is arrangement for electrical funerals but most of the bodies are cremated traditionally on wood bed as prescribed in Hindu mythology.
