Some places attract you by way of their presence, the external architecture and sculpting are the attraction, so is the undistracting view of the surrounding from the top. The wheels sculpted on the side walls make you feel it's a chariot. The dhyana mandir which also acts as a small convention hall is useful. Amavasya homa(pratyangira homa) most common in Tamil culture is most popular.
