Very attractive station among all I have visited till now. Equipped with all the requirements a station should have. Infrastructure is also very nice. It has around 25-26 platforms. But the main problem is that the old platforms are not connected with the newer ones so if you are new to that place it will create problem for you. You have to take left from platform number 15 to go to new platforms.

One of the oldest railway Junctions in India established in British period on the bank of river Ganges... Quite a large number of local as well as express trains depart and arrive everyday covering most of the places of the country. Plenty of food courts, restrooms available... And bus, ferry , taxis all are available just outside the stations...

If you want to see small trailer of India's population then this is the place😁, peoples are walking across this station to catch their trains at their highest speed. Talking about cleanliness -4/5. Staffs working all times to maintain this busy station. Howrah is one of the Busiest station of west bengal.

It is the busiest railway station in West Bengal, from where you can get train service to any part of the country.

Nice to see the Howrah station, respected CM of west Bengal was there at platform no 9 to catch a train. It was a great experience to see the CM closely. The crowd management was very good by the station Manager and Howrah division police.
