Gorakhpur Airport is an airport located in Gorakhpur, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The Airports Authority of India operates it as a civil enclave at the Gorakhpur Air Force Station of the Indian Air Force. From the city the airport is 5 miles (8.0 km). The airport covers an area of 0.71 acres. In June 2017, the Civil Terminal building was inaugurated by Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath. It will be expanded in the following months together with a conveyor belt.
This is the airport which allows high distance flight, directly to Prayagraj, Lucknow, Hyderabad and to many other places. It comes under Airport Authority of India (AAI). In this airport flight of Spicejet, Indigo Airlines and Go Air are taking their flights. It is also known as Guru Gorakhnath Air terminal Gorakhpur. It has the best facility for waiting. Good Services are available here. Security mechanism are at higher priority.

Small airport but Good number of flights from all important cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad etc. Too crowded these days (Oct - Nov 2021 onwards). *Must reach at least 3 hours before to get all formalities done on time.* Has only one of eating place inside for small snacks items only. Has baby care room and smoking room inside waiting area. Luggage belt is small so takes time to get luggage after arrival. Taxis available outside airport. Getting Ola is difficult from airport.
It is a very small airport but connectivity is good. There are only basic amenities and it is more like a better bus stop. It connects to most of major cities of India.
