It's primarily a namghar and natya chara. A namghar is a religious site where god Vishnu is prayed. It's not only religious but also a cultural resource of Assam. Namghar was first established by mahapurush ( great man ) Srimanta Shankardev. Various occasions such as Rasleela, Holi , Krishna Janmastami , Tithis (death & birth dates ) of mahapurusha etc. are celebrated. Typical assamese drama BHAONA is also sometimes organized here.
