Deoria is a city and district headquarters of Uttar Pradesh province of India. Deoria Nagar is located about 50 km southeast of Gorakhpur. Kasia is a famous pilgrimage center near Deoria, famous for the death and exultation of Buddha. In the Deoria district, mainly Hindi language is spoken. About 79 percent of the population of Deoria district is Hindi, about 3 percent of the people are Urdu and one percent. Other languages are the medium of public interaction.
