There is no doctor here ...
During 1966-1970 I visited and stayed here several times when my father was the Medical Officer here. The village with a small river, a weekly market, a School and this Hospital was then a beautiful place to visit. The famous "Jalpesh Mandir" 8km away from here is situated on the road towards Maynaguri. The Highway no 31 is 5km away from here. We were stranded here during the flood in Jalpaiguri (জলপাইগুড়ি) in 1968. Though we were very safe here but all communications were cut-off, all our friends and relatives at Calcutta were very anxious for us. I wish to visit here again.
