The Mukteshwar Temple is a single cella temple in Jakkanachari style. Similar temples were built under the patronage of Kalachuris of Kalyani or Seuna dynasties. This temple is a jewel of architecture of the 11th–12th centuries. It was built during the heyday of the kingdom ruled by the Kalyani Chalukyas and the Seunas of Devagiri. It is dedicated to an Udbhava (spontaneously born) Lingam named Mukteshwar. Best place to visit...

Choudadanpur, a small village near Ranibennur, situated on the banks of Tungbhadra. It's named after Ambigara Choudayya, a boatman who used to carry people from either banks of Tungbhadra river. He's supposed to exist in the 12th century. Choudayya, was greatly influenced by Basavanna, the reformer and spiritual Saint. Choudayya lived a simple and saintly lifestyle. While doing his Kayaka, the Duty, he was enlightened of spiritual experiences. He also wrote some couplets available as Vachanas. A samadhi is erected just on the banks of Tungbhadra river. He wished that his samadhi be built below the Muktinatheshwar temple and the waters of Lord's Abhishek be flown upon him everyday. Lord Muktinatheshwar temple is small but attractive. Outside carvings are beautiful and amazing.. and typically Hoysala style πŸ˜€πŸŒΉπŸ‘. One will definitely enjoy this captivating, serene atmosphere. Simply Divine. Instead of going to resorts and spending in thousands, one can definitely feel and experience the cool breeze and natural beauty by visiting such holy places.. and again the necessity of a guide... Our tourism dept should make a district wise survey of such places, make them as tourist attractions... Amen πŸ‘πŸ™β€οΈ
