Our family went on a trip to Meghalaya and Assam for 10 days. We didn’t have to take care of anything, just expressed our wishes at the beginning and were open to any suggestions. Although i'm quite well travelled in some remote parts of the world, nothing prepared me for the remoteness and sheer experience of trekking in the upper Konyak region of Nagaland. Having found a last minute time slot to get away from it all for 6 days in Assam and Megalaya (we live in South India) and received good feedback from Eastern Routes and Laurige services, we contacted him. After a few exchanges and in a short time, we left for a very good stay (family of 4 with 2 mosquitoes of 5 and 8 years old). Everything went very well and Laurige made sure every day that we were happy. Letting go without organizing too much in this magnificent, uncrowded region is what will remain a beautiful memory. Thank you to Laurige, her family, and her collaborators all as nice as each other! We are waiting for this COVID situation to settle down a bit and we will return to the North East for sure with Eastern Routes for zero hassle 😉
