Historical place with lots of religious as well as spiritual values. On the bank of Ganga river town has developed itself gently and passionately. It has yogashram for healthy life.
Munger university is a state university, established on 18th March 2018. Although it has recently completed 3 years of its establishment, still seems to be budding stage, basic courses are being offered, however from reseach point of view and doctrate courses its lagging behind. News regarding proposals sent to concerned authorities, and approvals granted for some new departments and courses published long back, still they are yet to start. Hopefully will start from upcomming session. Overall its a bifurcated university from TMBU, so from administrative part slightly ease of accessibility and upto date, But short falls and delay for academics scale up yet to be addressed.
