Palace added to palace added to palace. 11 km of guard wall and 7 man made lakes to boot. The history! Pro Tips: hire a guide, ride an elephant, don’t buy anything until leaving. Amazing fort with so much to see.It's the best fort in Jaipur. You can go to fort by walking which is quite tiring or by elephant ride. Should go to every section in the fort as it's beautiful and very good. An amazing location for photography,you get a beautiful view of Jaipur and the lake.
You can visit Jaipur. So please can't miss to visit the Amber palace...
Nice place to hang out with family. Best thing - guides are available in 150-200 bucks and they will help with everything, from detailed tour, parking to short routes, so hire them. Parking is not an issue and detailed visit can be completed within an hour or two. Other than that, rest everything is same which you'll find in all palaces and forts - swords, antiques, king-queen bedrooms, kitchen and some historic paintings.
Amber Fort is something else, and I'm not talking from a tourist's perspective. Being a local, I know more places than tourists research and visit. In my opinion, Amber fort from inside is worth for your one time visit but the real beauty is outside. Around the fort itself...if you have the daring to climb hundreds (if not thousands) of steep stairs, try to reach on top of the wall across the road and right in front of the fort. You won't regret the hard work.
