This hospital is good for the basic needs like fracture or bone dislocation even some skin care and minor infections and no more the rest will be provided by the private clinics of doctors which they will refer to you as the hospital lacks modern technology or if you are poor or about to die they will provide you an ambulance , so your patient might die on the way to another hospital in Srinagar as they don't want a bad record, so if you are getting in an ambulance they provide ,there you are about to die and they want no part of you.

Good experts, good infrastructure but the scope for improvement is eminence in every aspect of the package that a perfect health care unit cattering to 4 Districts must possess. One can find this District Hospital and Medical College (Both in same building) are always over crowded. Patients not only from Islamabad (Anantnag) throng to this place, but patients from Banihal, Kulgam, Pulwama and Shopian can also be seen in quite a good numbers in this Hospital. In a recent visit to the hospital was shocked to see the rush outside the designated Flu Clinic. There was no one to segregate people and ask them for maintaining social distance. Such callous approach can hasten the spread of Covid-19, knowing very well that people visiting Flu Clinic must either have Flu symptoms or come in contact with someone being positive.!

There is much room for improvement , local dominance is a menace there and security needs to be grared up to protect the very dedicated officials working round the clock to provide utmost care possible.

Good infrastructure being setup by Govt. But suffering from official apathy and poor administration.. This place is very crowded.

Huge scope for improvement in terms of adminstrative, clinical n non clinical prospective. Would be much better if people stop useless n unnecessary wandering over there as attendents. Might provide a beter space for patient care. ... Staff barely get to step ahead in the crowd INSIDE WARDS. .. seems more like a fish market ....well! Having a look on public dealing n movement inside one can hardly differentiate. There is a terrible need to restrict undue public movement inside the hospital. Irrespective of such a challenging condition to work in with such arrogant people mostly (not all the time ...few are well mannered as well) staff is putting the best effort with every new day to provide the best possible care with all the facilities knowledge n the skill available۔
