Hot water kund and masjid near savitri river in Mumbai Goa Haiway in Dasgaon
This hill fort is situated at Dasgaon village on the hill between the Savitri river and Dasgaon. This fort was a great place to keep an eye on the trade of water and land routes through the Mahad Port. Mahad has been known as a port since ancient times. After the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's reign, when Raigad became the capital, this fort would have become vital to the kingdom.
Try to visit fort after March or April as most part is covered with thorny bushes & Grass. The fort will give you splendid view of Savitri river & Konkan Railway.
It was my long day plan where Dasgaon fort was one of.. very few people have info about this fort.. once you get climbed this fort and goes to backside of fort you will find great scenic place .. if anyone loves for nature beauty can visit to this place
