One of the oldest continually inhabited cities in the world, Varanasi is arguably the holiest place in India. The spiritual activities take place along the sacred Ganges River, where pilgrims bathe and mourners cremate recently deceased relatives in plain view of passersby. Tourists, on the other hand, find their own flavor of spiritualism taking sunrise boat rides, releasing floral blessings that float on the river, and watching the fire-filled Hindu chanting ceremonies from the steep ghats. Away from the water, the streets of the old town twist and turn like an endless maze. Legend has it that there's still no accurate map of Varanasi, and once you experience the labyrinthine city for yourself, you'll be inclined to believe it

All the ghats are quite good to go and find peace, but this is one of the best. Surely you should go, with your family or friends, enjoy taking ride of a boat. You will love this place, I'm sure of it. Just sit and watch everything, you will be relaxed and released from the stress. Take pictures of the beauty. You will find many birds there wandering. Awesome place to visit and be close to nature. You will feel satisfied and happiness for the time you spent here with friends and family. It is nice place for get together and the cold breeze during evening and morning time will just refresh your mood. Various foreign tourists regularly come here and get blessings from temples nearby. This ghat is also historically important for the city.

beautiful place. the scenic beauty and the peace will make you feel relaxed. I would recommend to hire boat around 5PM itself and that boat ride will be on until 6.45PM and then it will be parked near the banks for that aarti which goes until 7.30. So earlier you hire the boat the more you are able to enjoy the ride in serendipity.

I understand that it is one of the oldest cities, and this ghat especially, is one of the holiest places where millions of pilgrims come every year. But there should be some system in place by now where the crowd can be managed. The road leading to this ghat is wide, but there's no system of direction here. The ghat steps are very unsafe and slippery, yet people are allowed to stand on the steps and throng. The local authorities should enforce some way to make people stay safe and enjoy responsibly, especially during the evening prayers.

Good for boat riding but if actually wants to enjoy Sandhya Kaal with Aarti then not better.
