Good University
This is not a review for Techno India University as a place of education but as a seat of vaccination against COVID-19. I went to this place for my vaccine day before yesterday. After incessantly trying for almost a month to get a window for registration, I was ecstatic when I finally downloaded my appointment slip and it finally sunk. I had kept my expectations low in terms of experience as this isn't any exciting social milestone and I had no intentions of declaring myself safe/vaccinated on social media. However, stepping outside the house and walking into a centre for vaccine has its own anxieties but that was thankfully self managed and there's no fuss over it. All I was expecting from the vaccine centre was preparedness, civility and order. I was appalled to see people crowding in multitudes at the designated space in Techno India University without a care in the world for social distancing or anything that we have been taught and refreshed in the last several months. People who were managing the program did not have a list to refer and kept the people waiting outside when it was quite heavily pouring. I was one of the first people to arrive and it landed on few of us to prepare a go-to list where we scribbled our names in order of first-in on a piece of paper that was handed over to one of the members managing the show. Even this sheet of paper was lost in confusion and they came up with their own logic of prioritizing folks to be vaccinated. Commotion ensued quite predictably as people by the scores challenged the utter mismanagement. From the entry point ruckus to the waiting area that was arranged with chairs side by side, meant to take seat side by side (whatever happened to mind the gap!), the first impressions of being vaccinated was horrendous. They took only cash, completely shut down to the argument of digital / contactless payment. To summarize I was scared of this place for the number of people around me. For the lack of direction from the organizing body. For leaving me feel numb even after a successful vaccination.
Good
One of the most reputated private university in India and one of the best workplace at Kolkata. The building has wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair car parking.
While taking admission in this college I didn't thought that I was so well developed and maintained decipline. The campusing is too good here. Now I relate what I had heard " Techno is itself a brand"......
