I’m Japanese. I was under custody for 19 days here. Cops and inmates treated me cordially probably because my case was laughably small and I was Japanese. I was allowed to use their PCs and Chief superintendent Sheshumurthy sir paid my bail(I paid him back of course). I still cherish my prison life here. Frankly this prison is even better than living poor lives in Bangalore.
If you find an Air BnB listing for lodging in here, I'd recommend going for it. The lodging and food we're subpar, but there are a lot of armed security guards, so at least they prioritise safety. However It's a shady neighborhood, so watch your back. All the costs are covered for by the government, so I suppose you get what you pay for.
