No place on earth is similar to basera and no comparison of children too
The Savera Home Trust was formed in February 2011 by a group of like-minded individuals who decided to make a difference. There was a need to provide shelter, a ‘Home’ and family to the most disadvantaged and orphaned children. There was a need to consider the children to be our own, a need to give them the best education so that they can be an asset to the local and global community. All these needs were the motivating factor to set up the Basera Children’s Village under the Savera Home trust. At the moment Basera Shelters 34 girl children and three destitute women(mothers) and Basera has been recognized by the Department of Women and Child Development-Karnataka State (Reg No: KA270026NGFO) The children are going to English Medium School. Our mission is to provide secure, loving and nurturing home for the orphaned children and destitute women within their community, irrespective of their colour, class or creed and making them an asset to the global and local community.
The children here are not at an orphanage, they are at 'Home'.
