Once i have visited this hospital to take a look of my relative but the entry point has tight security like in airports where a security stands for checking passport and visa pages of travellers. Token issuing at a fixed little time slot and allows visits at another little time slots.

A major government running hospital in Kottarakkara,this hospital has following features (Includes positives and negatives): 1.Almost all major departments function here with efficient doctors.Most of the time they deliver good services too. But it is sad to say some doctors are extremely corrupt as they give special treatment to those patients who pay bribe at their private consulting centres.Unless this system is changed ,poor is not going to get efficient services as envisioned here 2.Far better cleanliness par with private hospitals 3.Low cost medical shops running by the government function within the hospital premises 4.Car parking facilities 5.Special centres like life style diagnostic centres Improvements needed 1。More staffs to meet the increasing patient population 2.Infrastructure needs to be further improved 3.Action to decrease the corruption which is deeply rooted in its functioning
