Read fully before coming here! Would have given 0 stars if that was an option, since the whole experience seemed transactional, including experience with staff. Came in with a 90 year old to get checked for a pain in the leg region and we were asked to take admission, so vitals can be taken and we had to wait for another doctor to come and advise the next course of action. The doctor only came at the end of the second day and advised for few tests to be done after which we'll know exactly what the issue is. We were told to wait for the slot to take the test at the hospital and only got to do this on the third day, even after which we were to wait for the results and have the doctor come and advise the next step, which I see could easily have extended to another day. What could have been a 1 day visit turned out to be over 3-4 days because of either poor planning or the hospital being money minded. Either ways, it's at the cost of the patient since in these 3-4 days we're billed 50k for the room, doctor visit, nursing. This is excluding the costs for the clinical tests!! I felt moving to another hospital mid-treatment was a much better option than continuing in this business entity, for even another day. If you have influence, then it might be a tolerable experience, if not, I advise you to look elsewhere.
Very bitter experience at the hospital. The staff has informed at the last minute that a female doctor is not available for Mammography for my wife and has not provided any other option. The hospital has not provided the information before hand . The lady who co ordinates the test was also very rude. They had no idea of how to co ordinate. Zero transparency. After all these she wants you to give a good rating. Totally unprofessional. Never expected this from Apollo.
Treatment is good. Doctors are friendly. Scope for Improvement listed below. Canteen food needs attention. Too pricey. Delayed submission of discharge summary from Nurse station further delays IP billing and Insurance approvals. Staffs and Nurse required proactive approach to ensure the delays are avoided and patients & respective attenders are not made suffered at the time of discharge. To keep transparency on the billing made. Unnecessary fake charges added to patients.
My mother underwent a procedure at Apollo Specialty Hospital Jayanagar Bangalore. While I chose the hospital because of huge comfort with the treating doctor, my overall experience at the hospital was fantastic. The team was extremely attentive and supportive, and their processes really smooth-right from pre-admission testing at home, admission, billing and discharge. Whether it was security staff, the nurses, or the administrative staff, all of them were extremely pleasant, even as they went about their tasks competently! While I had already recommended this hospital to many of my friends (mostly on account of the excellent surgeon), this time I experienced their care first hand! And I came away totally delighted. Will be recommending this hospital even more!
Apollo hospital provides very good service. The staff is very service oriented and takes good care about the patient. They maintain very hygienic environment. The doctors I was connected with are very down to earth, listen patiently the problem and diagnose the problem very well. They did not prescribe any un-necessary medication or tests unless it is necessary. Overall, I'm very happy with the service.
