SVPUAT, Meerut laid its foundation on 2nd October 2000 and was inaugurated on 28th March 2002 by the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The University holds lots of significance in view of the fact that it is the 1st agricultural university established in the 21st Century. The SVPUAT, Meerut is responsible for the agriculture-related developments in 4 major divisions of Uttar Pradesh, i.e., Saharanpur, Meerut, Moradabad, and Bareilly.
It is a government University . It has various colleges under it {such as college of biotechnology, college of agriculture, college of animal and veterinary sciences, college of horticulture and various other colleges } To get admission in it one must qualify a state level examination UPCATET held every year. Then admission is based on the merit list based on your ranking . The faculty in this college is really nice and helpful and nice . even though we have online classes going on during this period of time but still professors teach us really nicely .
