Be very ready to hike all the way down and then for the climb back. But it will be worth it. This is the second oldest Buddhist Monastery in Darjeeling after Ghoom Monastery.
A nice place to get away from the crowds. The way there is a bit steep on the way back up, but it’s a nice walk through local neighborhoods and the monastery, although small, has beautiful art work and is well maintained. It’s quaint and picturesque.
Awesome view of kanchanjangha and holy place
They are cheater and they will rob you... Never suggest to go near by this place, they will charge just for passing from their gate.. ????????
Spent my childhood vacations visiting this beautiful Monastery of Bhutia Busty. Most recent visit sees it shining forth in all its glory. Must visit place while in Darjeeling during the day.
