My mother was admitted here for gall bladder stone operation. Despite knowing my mother had chronic liver problem, Dr. Roy insisted we admit her in the hospital. Once admitted, we were told that operation was not possible due to her liver condition and she had to be stable enough and within 2 days the doctors and staff started telling us to try to shift her in a better hospital facility as this hospital had no gastroenterology backup. Unfortunately we did not get any bed in a better facility and she was treated there. My mother's condition worsened day by day, and even the ICU nurses severely misbehaved with her. Despite being a hospital for basically surgeries and other minor disease, the hospital started to charge whopping amounts and the bills started to increase by almost 20-30k each day. Within 11 days, my mother passed away despite the hospital telling us her vitals were improving, we were not even shown her blood reports on a regular basis. Not a hospital I would recommend unless absolutely necessary. Yes my mother was sick, but admitting her here made it worse, caused me and my family an irreparable loss. None of the doctors even tried to explain to us what happened as there was apparently not a single day that we thought we were at risk of losing my mother, all of them either saved face or hid.
Good place for treatment. They provide good treatment. While you are admitted in the hospital, no outside stuff is allowed inside except packaged fruit juices (only if the doctors allows). They even provide a welcome kit consisting of toiletries. The Nurses, the support staff and the security personnel were courteous with smile on their faces. Our overall experience was a pleasant one for their smiling faces.
Focused support and advice from Dr. Purnendu Roy who had read my medical notes prior to my appointment and understood my needs as an individual patient. Throughout my treatment I have been seen by caring, knowledgeable professionals.Warm & welcoming environment, friendly and helpful staff. Dr. Roy is very understanding and listens to your concerns. He takes time with the patient to help them with their health issues! I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a specialist. I was suffering from gall bladder stone and had experienced an abandoned surgery in Hyderabad due to acute infection. My surgery would have been an abandoned one again without Dr. Roy's expertise nd experience. We've seen a number of hospitals interested only in making money other than anything else. GENESIS HOSPITAL, KOLKATA is surely an exception. Thank u.
Visited Dr.Roy today regarding my fathers gallstone removal procedure.Doctor explained everything in a very nice manner and was very supportive.Since my dad is a covid long hauler he even advised to wait two months before getting operated.Unlike other corporate institutes where they do not care about patients history, he listened to us patiently. The best part was his behaviour.I would recommend everyone to consult him in case of gallstone issues as he is a veteran in his field with vast experience.
A very good hospitial indeed. Loved it .had my mothers treatment here and very high hospitality
