Govt college
LBJP Inter college is an old institution of UP. I am an Alumnus of this college and passed High School from this place in 1951, when Mr Laxmi Narayan Verma used to be Head of the institution. There was no science option at that time. Hence, after High School, I joined BNSD College Kanpur (1951) followed by DAV College, Kanpur in 1953. After graduation in science in 1955, I joined Lucknow University, Lucknow and did Masters degrees in Chemistry (1957) and Biochemistry (1958). I still remember Mr Chowdhary, Mr. Verma (commerce teacher) and Acharya Ji (Hindi teacher) who were dedicated teachers at the college at that time. The college had taken a big leap because of personal efforts of Mr L. N. Verma. I owe much more to my old institution. G. S.
