Very serene place. Can we not start a Veda Patashala in the temple complex. It will start reviving the vedic practices at the holy place. It was once upon a time the seat to Vedic knowledge the land of Godesss Sarada. The trustees should seriously think of this. There will be enough support from across India and abroad.

A beautiful temple of Ksheer Bhawani which is popularly known as Kheer Bhawani temple. Just 22Km from Srinagar, this pleasant temple is in Tulmul village over the sacred spring. Once you reach highly guarded main entrance, you can walk to the temple and on the on your left you have neatly maintained washrooms. Once you reach the temple entrance, you can find the rack built for safekeeping your shoes. As you enter in, you can see more than 100year old huge Chinar trees. The main marble temple is built by Raja Pratap Singh in 1920. It is said the colour of the water in this sacred spring keeps changing. Even Swami Vivekananda has worshipped Kheer Bhawani mata. It is believed that Maharagnya Devi of Lanka moved here as she was upset by the wrongdoings of Ravana. Lord Hanuman Ji moved Maharagnya Devi from Srilanka and as her wishes she stayed here in the sacred spring of Tulmul village. Don't miss the delicious kheer prasad given in this temple. The serenity of this temple and spring will definitely make you feel blessed!
