A good place for weekend gate away. Specially in winter. One can enjoy speed boating, local street foods etc. Also dry side of dam can be reached by downstair rocky road but be careful. Enjoy.
Had a two day trip at massanjore. Stayed at the I&w guest house. Such a mesmerizing place and the guest house itself was so beautiful. The soothing nature will heal your soul.

It is a very nice destination for nature lovers. It is more enjoyable in winter ❄️ and monsoon. It is a famous picnic spot. The condition of the road is well and good. The way to Masanjore is also enjoyable. The locals are here very helpful. Though the hotels here are not up to the mark.
It indeed is a great view, from the dam bridge we could see one part of Jharkhand and other West Bengal. Since there's a dispute between these two states the maintenance of the bridge and surrounding is lacking in my opinion, the waste are thrown anywhere with no dust bin around to be seen. The government should have a better look to such tourist attractions. And they should allow tourist to boat and not only for State Defence employee, so that it can generate some income for the state.
