Dumka is a sub capital of jharkhand. Very beautiful nature and blessed by baba basukinath.
Dumka Railway Station situated outskirt of the town is somehow moderate type of station. Being the sub capital of the state, Dumka must have atleast trains connecting it to the major cities but thats not the real situation. Only few major cities to which Dumka is connected via Direct railway network via Trains are Ranchi, Bhagalpur and Kolkata. Ministry of Railway must provide Direct Trains connecting Dumka to Delhi, Patna, Varanasi, Bhuvaneshwar, Bhopal, etc. One thing for sure I can say that the Station premises is clean & hygienic and except on few occasions passenger don't have to wait in long queues for tickets. Hoping for the betterment in the future.
