Indian law says mentally ill should get health insurance, but do companies offer them? All the insurance companies that TNM contacted said that they have no plans that cover mental illnesses. Some added that if a mentally ill person were to apply, they would be rejected. No Insurance company will provide medicine expenses for a mentally ill person.
