This centre refused to give 2nd COVID vaccination dose after reaching at scheduled appointment time through COWIN portal and the reason that they gave is they need 10 people in order to give vaccination. And when asked where this rule is mentioned, their excuse was that it is not written somewhere but the government has told so. This centre should pull down its listing from COVID vaccination centre.
One thing I didn't understand about them. On cowin app, it was written the price of Covishield is 250 at the eastern diagnostic centre but when I visited they charged 780. Otherwise service was good. Very clean and maintains hygiene.
I got 2 family members vaccinated on 2nd April and scheduled another vaccination for my mother and grandfather on 5th April with the lady on the 2nd floor. We got a call on 5th April from the lady, wherein she cancelled the appointment due to 'exhaustion' of vaccine stock, and deferred the appointment to 12th April. When we followed up on 12th, date was again deferred by a week. This was repeated on 19th as well. Between 15-30 April, national vaccine supply was already under stress, hence we couldn't get another vaccine appointment elsewhere in Kolkata. My mother & grandfather couldn't get vaccinated, contracted Covid on 1st May and passed away on 22nd & 19th May respectively. This diagnostic center and the lady on the 2nd floor should be sued for their lies, whimsical attitude, lack of professionalism and are solely responsible for the excruciating grief and trauma inflicted upon my family. Just to expose their under dealing and lies, I again called them in June, enquiring about vaccine availability and the same lady repeated her age old excuse of vaccine shortage. Refusing to believe her this time (as vaccines were in good supply by that time), I drove down to the center and found that they were indiscriminately allowing all walk-ins to get vaccinated, even without appointments. The lady had been lying to me all along in April. They had been under dealing throughout!!!!!! The staff are categorical liars, corrupt and adept at misleading, deceiving patients. I want to know the exact vaccination rosters from April from this center or else I will report them to government authorities.
This Establishment deny to give me covid vaccine dose 2 despite my appointment done with them through Cowin.gov.in on 8th september 2021.They told me that if I could bring another 10 persons whose vaccine is due then they could give me that facility,however because it is a paid vaccine I had a debate with them and they show me the door
