My 82 year old mother was taken on emergency to JBCH with a broken femur, resulting from a fall, and was immediately seen by Dr Rajeev Raman. The good doctor operated on my mother the following day and discharged her from the hospital within 48 hours of surgery after ensuring that she was already standing on her feet. Polite and affable to the core, Dr Raman not only did an excellent job on my mother's leg but also made us comfortable with his clear communication. The nursing staff at JBCH deserve a special word of praise. Clearly, they have been trained well by the hospital management in conducting themselves with great care and kindness. Even the security personnel were very well mannered and polite. Overall, excellent hospital. It is doctors, nurses and staff like those at JBCH that help repose faith in the medical fraternity. I would not wish hospitalization to anybody but JBCH is a good hospital, should misfortune befall anyone.

A very good hospital for joint and bone care Staff at the hospital are very experienced and cooperative and the environment is very cordial. My wife, Sm Bandana Ghosh ,was admitted to the hospital on November 14th, 2021 for relief from severe pain in left hip due to traumatic injury because of domestic fall leading to fracture of neck of femur . The operation was performed by Dr. Joydeep Banerjee Chowdhury, a very knowledgeable and experienced doctor and the operation was performed successfully. I found him very sympathetic to the patients. I was amazed at his friendly behavior.

I thought of sharing my experience for helping other patients to take right decision. In the month of September 2021.I visited JBC hospital (saltlake) for my wife with a symptom of a pain in the middle of rib cage which was happening during the sleep. Likely pain was generating from Spine, so got an appointment with Dr. Abdul Naim Ostagar (Spine specialist). He is very well behaved and explain things properly but he needs huge improvement of his diagnosis capability. At the first moment he prescribed a MRI scan of entire spine along with CRP blood test with a suspection of "Bone TB". But which was not detected in the MRI report, rather he mentioned if there was a Bone TB then CRP would have gone very high. During the first visit I already carried the whole Blood report including CRP test. If CRP is the first Measure of indication for bone TB then why he suggested for MRI test directly? which is pretty expensive around 12 thousand rupees?. Next he suggested for a medicine Gabapin and suggested for operation after 1 month if there is not much improvement of the pain condition. He explained there is a need of less than one hour of surgery (microsurgery) in the cervical spine. Which I could not understand. So I gone for 2nd opinion. I consulted with another Spine Surgeon (best in India) and he just thrown the MRI test report and suggested for Physiotherapy along with one low dose medicine for 28 days. My wife is dealing with absolutely normal life now. THANK GOD that I visited 2nd doctor. Another problem with JBC hospital, it doesn't have MRI facilitiies!!! Such a big hospital doesn't meet the basic needs!!
