Jatragachi Pranabananda High School is one of the oldest schools in the Rajarhat area (Rajarhat West Circle) of Kolkata. It was founded in 1963. Since then, the school has grown bigger and bigger and now after 56 years it has a students strength of about 2,500 including the High and Higher Secondary sections. It's a co-educational government sponsored institution. Other than the regular teaching and learning processes, participation in regular cocurricular activities including a Football camp is maintained here by the teachers. The school became the Semifinalists in the Subroto Cup international football tournament in 2015 at Delhi. In 2016, the school participated in the National Children's Science Congress for the first time and was adjudged as the Best School in West Bengal for the highest number of project participations.
