Warangal is marketed as a historical destination, which is one of the reasons it attracts visitors like myself who appreciate tales of glory. Warangal is a tremendous letdown and is overrated as one of South India's must-see destinations. Even a first visit to one of the main attractions would reveal this. The people are the nicest part of the area; you'll witness individuals from all over the world wanting to help you. From my personal experience, the people are a treasure.Before you come down to Warangal on your list, there are many more destinations in South India worth seeing
Except the massive ruins of grand temples, palace structures and the impressive arches in the four directions,there's nothing intact from architecture perspective.All the fallen ruins with so much lively sculpture of elephants, life sized shiva carvings, colorful black stone designs and wonderful pillars makes us very sad to feel the destruction of the vanished kingdom and the pain of loosing everything as life moves on...
