We visited here just after the new years, Indeed a great property with the historic charm and appeal. Huge well maintained rooms, and great play areas and lawns. The winter sun was a blessing here and so was the outdoor restaurant. The team has been doing an exceptional work in keeping the property well maintained. 5 stars to the food service & hospitality
The only saving grace was the service. They tried their level best and we enjoyed the new year get together- thankfully it was in the lawns. However, this property is not at all maintained - which means the management is not spending money. We had 3 rooms but all of them - Rooms (read everything inside a room- lamps, tables, storage, side tables, lamps), carpet, blankets (they were provided bare naked without any outer sheet or cover), bathrooms were very dirty. I have been to lot many heritage resorts/hotels but would never recommend this one. I am not visiting again.
Living breathing history midst the bustle of a city. Tranquility of this place is unmatched, if you need a quiet and relaxed getaway along with a unique experience of staying with the Royalties of India. The food was simply amazing, you have to book your meals with the hotel as it secluded and did not have many options outside it's premises. Complete with stables and mango orchards this mansion is one of a kind and an amazing experience. We had a really special time and enjoyed an amazing rainy day and it was beyond this world. We booked Fort Unchagaon for the New years and indeed it was great experience. The gathering was limited to not many people ad they were extremely cautious about the Covid norms, which is something I really appreciate. The staff was extremely supportive in making it a very hospitable stay, food was really good, specially the brunch on the 1st day of 2022 in the mango orchard and the warm sun. Rooms were well maintained and had a royal heritage touch, all in all a must visit weekend getaway.
A royal experience with modern amneties. 200 year old fort, now a modern resort. A perfect blend of unique antiquity and modernity.
