Goosebumps, actual goosebumps when you visit this place. The valour and strength the Indian soldiers have shown during the 1971 and 1999 war can never be described in writing. History tells us that the Srinagar Leh highway (1D) was on the verge of being acquired by the Pakistanis and we (Indians) bravely sacrificed our souls and threw them away. As you walk the main straight to where the flag is hoisted you can hear nothing but silence, nothing but respect to the armed forces, nothing but emotions running high. You should visit the Veerbhoomi and pay your respects when you're here.
The moment you enter the gate, you get a proud feeling. Then after seeing all those souvenirs, grave yard and pictures, you get goosebumps. Many many brave soldiers have given their life so that we can breathe peacefully. My respect towards the Indian army has elevated especially after visiting this place. Let me quote from the lines written on the entrance gate: When you go home, tell them about us and say, " For your tomorrow, we gave our today." Jai Hind
A true Indian Must visit this place.. Whenever someone gets time to visit Srinagar. Love India 😘..Salute Captain Vikram Batra 😍♥️👌👍
Everything So nicely explained. So disciplined officers to treat the civilians...
Nothing could incite patriotism in an individual more than seeing the people who laid down their lives for them at the place where it happened. Intricacies of the war, valiant deeds of the armed forces personnel and the flying tricolors at the venue made the visit an unforgettable experience and a befitting memorial to our brave soldiers.
