This Mukundarayapuram Railway station is Located near BHEL Compant Ranipet, This station is essential for daily commutes who go to work from in and around region from this railway station Office train Yelagiri Express stops here daily for office going people (Who travel to chennai daily) other than this train Mangalore to chennai Super fast trains stops here and alapuzha express stops here adding on this point Vellore to Chennai Beach Unit train then Vellore To Arrakonam local trains make halt here while crossing this station
This station is very useful for lot of people living around BHEL township and sorrounding areas, but still this station needs to be improved. The recent improvements like rain shelter on one platform is appreciable, proper platform for train towards Chennai is under progress. But still this could have been made long time ago, the rain shelter should also be considered on the other platform too. There is no restroom for public. Considering the number of passengers using this station, Coach display boards and announcements could be introduced for this station. It is hard for physically challenged persons to climb the stairs to reach the platform, we hope some arrangements will be considered by BHEL management and Railways, they should work together for the betterment of this station.
Medium sized good station!
Its a small railway station near Katpadi junction. Other than Aleppey dhanbad express and Bangalore Chennai express, not much express trains stop here. There are a few passenger trains running through this route. The main importance of the railway station is its located inside BHEL Ranipet township.
