We had visited Sringeri from Bangalore. Our son had developed high fever. We were looking for a pediatrician but not sure where to find in the small town of Sringeri. Luckily someone recommend us to this hospital. It's not a posh hospital but doctors and staff are all very polite and friendly. The doctor was very good and suggested the same kind of medicines that our family pediatrician in Bangalore would suggest. We were happy to find the hospital in the hour of need.
Very good doctors and the staff is well trained when doing the treatments. But administration and upkeep of the hospital is seriously lacking. It is still the best option even when I have plenty of (Western) doctors and hospitals where I live. Ayurveda is still the only proper way to get healthy and if healthy, to stay healthy.
It's a so peaceful to be in temple, blessed are those who visits temple. About history: Please refer wiki pedia:) Staying: Temple has their lodging facility and also are few private, however would recommend to go for Temple lodge, it is well maintained.
