It's a charitable hospital attached to medical college in the thrissur town run by Christian missionaries. Have almost all departments and with the best doctors in thrissur. Not too expensive, very nice service by nursing staff, all in one centre for various treatments, at a reasonable cost.
I had faced a bad experience from Amala Hospital fever clinic yesterday 05/11/2021. I caught severe stomach pain and I went to (12.00 pm) hospital near to my home (Amala medical College Hospital)in order to consult a physician.Before consulting doctor, I went to fever clinic to take an anitgen test for consulting a general physician.when I told all my health issues to duty doctor, she said me to took an antigen test.I paid the bill amount and return back to Room no 3 for the test.Duty nurses and other staff in that room told me to took RT-PCR with out any confirmation from duty doctor.I said to them it was urgent to me to consult a physician,they said there was no option other than RT PCR for consulting a physician for this case and the result will be got at 8 pm after the OP time .They said me to come next day for consultation.Last agreed and paid extra amount to took RT PCR. Amala Hospital management is completely business minded.
Doctors and staffs are caring and friendly, taking appointment prebooking physical presence in this advanced time is a disadvantage. Security staffs are little rude to the people. I witnessed a pregnant lady and her family were ashamed and blocked their way by a security guard and she was near the way to the labour room. His statement was they have to round the building and enter through another way, that lady was tired because she was near to her delivery time. Systems should be easy for needed people. Food from the canteen should be improved, I took my scooter to the hospital only to arrange good food for my family from outside the hospital.
