The rating is for the original idea of this Temple. It's really amazing. You do feel extremely patriotic and connected to this great Nation as a whole. However, when I visited, I was the only one visiting that place. There doesn't seem to be much enthusiasm about this place now. It's a novel idea idea, this should be really appreciated and appropriately promoted.

Amazing, unique place in India One inch of the area in the map covers 6.40 miles on land and from a window installed at the ground level in the basement, the difference among the heights of the various peaks is clearly visible.The map has a detailed layout of 450 mountain ranges and peaks, vast plains, water bodies, rivers, oceans and plateaux. The map also shows the scale and depth of the geographical entities mentioned on it.
It’s a unique shrine that is dedicated to our country, Mother India as the name suggests. This temple is very different from others as it’s not dedicated to any specific deity or a lord. The temple features a relief map of India carved in marble. Situated within the Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith campus, it was inaugurated by Gandhi himself in 1936.
It is a very nice place for visitors. An Indian map established here in its yard. It is made up of 960 marbles of 11×11 inches each.
