Covid-19 vaccination sessions are held occasionally, primarily targetted at Port staff and seafarers. The availability is usually known only on the previous day or sometimes on the same day. Token system may be followed in case of rush during a vaccine camp but the receiver of token must be present when their turn is up. No waiting for the token holder just because they got one. ........................................................................................... A hospital primarily for the Cochin Port staff, pensioners and their dependents. Inpatient treatment is free (and almost non-existent now) and certain cases may be referred to other hospitals. Emergency cases (non-staff) occurred in the Port area is provided with basic first aid care and will be referred to other hospital immediately. Medical procedures in these cases will be carried out at the Casualty. The accomplice/bystander can do the registration at the hospital Reception (opp: car parking stand), which could be be charged with a nominal fee. No Covid-19 treatment here. Citizens can opt for the Covid hospital with 100+ oxygen beds for the public run by Kochi Corp. set up at Samudrika Hall 2km away. OP/outpatient timings are from 8 AM to 12:45 PM and from 1:45 PM to 3:15 PM. Tokens are not generally issued between 12:45 PM and 1:45 PM – the lunch break hour. On Saturdays, it's 8 AM-12:00 and NO outpatient consultation on Sundays. Doctor on casualty duty is available around the clock. The Port hospital is earmarked as the vaccination centre for seafarers (they need to apply through DGS and other formalities and 'subject to availibility' condition that eventually forfeits them of a jab in time when the request reaches the vaccination centre). Doctors, nurses and staff are amicable/understanding.
Some staffs are good
It’s excellent stay. Staying on a old property has its charm. Courteous staff adds to it.
