Normal hospital with a speciality setup. Hygenic place. With Christian spirituality in high.
The record keeping system is purely outdated. If you have to undergo a blood test or ultrasound test, you will have to personally ensure that the reports are added to your patient history file. Either, the next time when your appointment is fixed with the doctor , reach 15 minutes earlier and you need to run to these departments and get it attached to your history personally or wait for the attender nurse to get these done, which will again take atleast 10-15 mins. The same happens after you are done with the appointment, the file has to manually reach the pharmacy for you to get the medicine, taking 10-15 mins. In a nutshell, it's just not the doctors consulting time, but a 2 hours extra you will have to spend if you have an appointment fixed. However, I would also appreciate their leap in implementing phone/online booking of appointment now, which otherwise was a disaster where you had to personally reach the hospital on first come first serve basis to get an appointment. (Previously Phone booking started at 8.30 only and by then everyone would have personally booked a appointment and you would get only a afternoon slot.) If your time is limited, try another hospital and if your money is limited, you can opt this hospital over the new generation private hospitals at Ernakulam. PS: Yes, I'm writing this when I'm deliberately waiting for my doctor as I did a big mistake of not attaching the medical reports to my patient history maually.
The staffs are disgusting.. especially in covid testing department..rude behaviour.. This is not at all the right the way to treat the patients.. And, they need the us to collect the rtpcr test result after 24 hrs directly going to the hospital. They don't have the system of mailing and messaging.. what if there's no one for the patient to collect the report and is in a severe condition..? Please be more practical.
